Very helpful. Question: until now my FTD daughter has had no problems with injections or blood draws. About a week ago I took her for her COVID booster. She kept pulling away from the syringe. I had to hold her arm still in order for nurse to administer injection. How can we cope with this in the future? I have never seen this particular problem addressed. Thank you.
I’ve been giving your question some thought. She could be having a problem with attention. She may also be having trouble understanding what you wanted her to do. The temporal lobes shrink faster than the rest of the brain in FTD. People are unable to connect spoken words with the “dictionaries” in their brains.
